El pasado jueves 24 de octubre se celebró con gran éxito el "First Spelling Bee Bellanita", un evento diseñado para fortalecer el aprendizaje del idioma inglés en las instituciones educativas públicas del municipio de Bello. Este concurso de deletreo, ampliamente reconocido como una herramienta clave en la enseñanza del inglés, tuvo como objetivo que los estudiantes demostraran su capacidad de deletrear correctamente un conjunto de palabras seleccionadas por el jurado.
Más allá de la simple habilidad de deletrear, la competencia promovió el aprendizaje integral del idioma, alentando a los participantes a familiarizarse con la ortografía, el significado y la pronunciación de un vocabulario amplio y variado. Esta metodología dinámica permitió que los estudiantes no solo reforzaran sus conocimientos lingüísticos, sino que también disfrutaran de un ambiente de sana competencia.
En esta primera edición del Spelling Bee Bellanita, participaron 33 instituciones educativas, distribuidas en tres categorías: de 3° a 5° grado, de 6° a 8°, y de 9° a 11°. Un total de 83 estudiantes demostraron sus habilidades, destacándose por su entusiasmo y dedicación al aprendizaje del inglés.
